TelAve - Dec. 9, 2013 - KANNAPOLIS, N.C. -- The Charlotte Business Journal recognized the region's fastest-growing privately held companies this week as part of the annual Fast 50 program. The awards luncheon, held Dec. 6 at the Charlotte Convention Center, revealed the ranking order of the honorees.

Heading the 2012 class of Fast 50 honorees is Direct Digital. The company, founded by Brandon Adcock, Paul Reichelt and John Kim, offers a line of nutritional supplements through online and brick-and-mortar sales Direct Digital achieved three-year revenue growth averaging 691 percent from 2009 through 2011.

Businesses qualified for Fast 50 recognition based on a formula that reflects dollar and percentage growth during a three-year period. Companies applied for inclusion by submitting nominations that included financial performance. Companies had to have annual revenue of at least $1 million in 2010. They also must be based in the 16-county Charlotte region.
