Sustainable Innovations Awarded NSF Program to Advance Commercialization of Novel Technology for the Purification of Hydrogen in the Metals Industry

EAST HARTFORD, Conn. - Oct. 5, 2015 - TelAve -- Sustainable Innovations, LLC, a world leader in electrochemical hydrogen separation and compression, today announced it has been selected for a project supported by the National Science Foundation to advance the integration of the recently acquired H2Pump LLC technology into the Sustainable Innovations' H2RENEW hydrogen purification product portfolio. The project will facilitate Sustainable Innovations advancement of its commercial product line by evaluating specific feed chemistries typical of the metals heat treating industry, demonstrating system "up-time" in a metals heat treating environment, and evaluating system performance and reliability.
The project is a critical next step in the development of the Company as a device developer and in addition will facilitate an understanding of the commercialization requirements of the customer. "This technology validation activity will allow commercialization partners, investors and customers to review test results before H2RENEW™ is introduced to the metals market. Sustainable Innovations will leverage this program to complete an equity financing, finalize the design and development of a commercial product configuration and create an In-Service-Evaluation program in which initial products will be fielded with early adopters," explained Dr. Trent Molter, President and CEO of Sustainable Innovations.

"Our affordable hydrogen recycling solution for the heat treat industry alleviates hydrogen supply issues, logistics, and cost challenges, while at the same time reducing furnace emissions.
