Juneau: Join neighborhood meeting for proposed LID on January 3

~ The City and Borough of Juneau (CBJ) will be hosting a public meeting on Friday, January 3 to discuss the proposed Local Improvement District (LID) for the HESCO barrier flood mitigation project. The purpose of this project is to protect the community against potential Glacial Lake Outburst Floods (GLOF) in the future.

The meeting will take place at the Thunder Mountain Middle School Auditorium from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. CBJ staff and representatives from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will be present at the meeting to address any questions or concerns about the proposed LID ordinance. They will also be seeking input from residents in the neighborhood.
