Revolutionizing the way Push Notifications are used to engage and target customers

AUSTIN, Texas - TelAve -- Are you looking for new ways to reach your target customer? Sick of scrolling through social media posts to find content from your favorite brands? PopUp (https://popup.app/), the Austin-based marketing company, today announced the beta-launch for their exciting new curated marketing service, giving brands and personalities the ability to use push notifications to engage directly with their target customers on the lock screen. Making PopUp the first platform to utilize and offer push notifications as a focused marketing channel.

Push notifications are a widely used marketing tool by mobile apps to engage and market directly to subscribers and now, with PopUp's service, non app-based companies will be able to reach their customers in the same way. And,  just like on any other social platform, the customer is in control; they choose the brands and personalities to follow and the content they want to receive. The difference, though, rather than receiving multiple notifications a daily; customers opt-in for either a weekly or monthly notification in which they receive information most relevant to them. This can be summed up in four words: LIMITING QUANTITY CURATES QUALITY.

"Push notifications are one of the most effective ways to reach a customer, but, until now, have been off-limits as a marketing tool to millions of brands that don't have their own mobile apps," said Adam Hollander, Co-Founder of PopUp and prior CEO of FantasySalesTeam, which was acquired by Microsoft in 2015.  "PopUp is changing the game by opening up this channel to anyone; without ever needing to build their own app."

"Our research shows that customers want the most important announcements and deals from the brands and people they love without scrolling through dozens of emails or days of social posts to get to them before they expire," explained Patrick Perrine, CEO of PopUp. "That's why we're putting users in control; we want everyone to feel like a VIP and we help our users curate the most important messages from the brands and personalities they love... right on their lock screen. PopUp allows people to stay connected without always needing to be connected."

PopUp's Beta period (June -August 2019) will allow advertisers that join to receive the service free through the end of 2019 regardless of how large their audience. Standard rates starting in September will be as low as $10/month. For users they will have early access to Publisher content and promotions; such as early (concert) ticket releases, and exclusive access on other deals and announcements. PopUp will also use this time to collect user feedback in an effort to further shape and develop the overall product.

"We invested in PopUp because we believe that consumers deserve a better way to receive the content that matters most to them,'' said Chris Shonk, Investor and Partner at ATX Seed Ventures (http://www.atxseedventures.com/team-member/chris-shonk/). "And with the high noise to signal ratios, spambots and crowded voice and mailboxes, the push notifications ensure brands are reaching their target audiences. Combine that with compelling opt-in content and offers hyper-relevant to our partners, PopUp is creating a unique win-win for discerning brands and their customers."
