COLUMBUS, Ohio - Feb. 13, 2019 - TelAve -- STARK Industries LLC, with their Lifetouch 'smart patch' biosensor technology, has been selected as a finalist in the Digitally Enabled Medical Device category for the upcoming American College of Cardiology's 68th Annual Scientific Session & Expo - ACC.19 Innovation Challenge.

The Challenge will be held March 17th in the Future Hub space on the exhibit floor of the ACC.19 Annual Meeting, at the New Orleans Ernest N. Morial Convention Center.

"STARK Industries will be highlighting their Lifetouch 'smart patch' biosensor which is designed as a remote monitoring system that can seamlessly and wirelessly combine vital sign and patient information into a single monitoring system. The information gathered and transmitted via the wireless biosensor includes: Heart Rate, Heart Rate Variability, Heart Rhythm (Single Lead ECG), Respiratory Rate and Motion/Activity Data.

"This system is designed for in-hospital evaluation and observation, monitoring patients at home and post-discharge, providing remote viewing capability, all in real-time, and can contribute to improved outcomes and mitigating re-admissions" noted Dr. Peter Lee – Cardiothoracic Surgeon, The Ohio State University - Wexner Medical Center.
