Vayim Receives $35,000 Investment at 2026 SDSU San Diego Angel Conference

Vayim, a San Diego medical technology company and Connect Springboard company, will use the investment to advance its minimally invasive technology for chronic rhinosinusitis (CRS).
SAN DIEGO - TelAve -- Vayim, a San Diego-based medical technology company and Connect Springboard company, received a $35,000 investment at the 2026 SDSU San Diego Angel Conference.
The investment will help Vayim continue advancing its minimally invasive technology for chronic rhinosinusitis, a condition that can significantly affect quality of life for patients. The company's technology focuses on delivering gentle energy in hard-to-reach human anatomy, with an initial focus on using radiofrequency technology designed to support improved biofilm clearance from each sinus cavity in the head.
"Vayim's mission is to create minimally-invasive solutions for human disease processes, starting with chronic rhinosinusitis, which affects 30 million people in the United States every year ," said Devin Zarkowsky, M.D., Co-Founder at Vayim. Philip Tetzlaff, Co-Founder and CEO continued, "Generous support from SDAC will accelerate our development process significantly, allowing a leap forward in the path toward FDA approval and commercialization."

Vayim's momentum reflects the strength of San Diego's life sciences and startup ecosystem. As a Connect Springboard company, Vayim has been part of a founder-focused advising program designed to help companies refine their commercialization strategy, prepare for capital opportunities and connect with experienced mentors and ecosystem resources.
The 2026 SDSU San Diego Angel Conference brought together investors, founders, students and community leaders for a competitive process designed to provide early-stage startups with investor feedback, visibility and potential funding. Vayim was selected from a competitive finalist group that included Sesh Incorporated, a Connect 2026 Cool Company, along with My Village Innovations, Shezza, PolyVascular and Cytodyme.
"Community support arising from SDAC is as important as any funding," Zarkowsky said. "Succeeding on the SDAC stage stretched our team in ways a siloed approach cannot: experts in finance, project management, venture capital, and intellectual property all collaborated to improve Vayim and the results from last week are as much their win as it is ours."
