56th Annual USS Admiral of the Ocean Sea (AOTOS) Awards Announced

U.S. Maritime Community's Premier Event Returns to New York City on October 24, 2025

NEW YORK - TelAve -- The United Seamen's Service (USS) will present its 56th annual Admiral of the Ocean Sea (AOTOS) Awards to three leaders in American maritime: Captain Willie Barrere, National President of American Maritime Officers; Edward F. Hanley, COO of Maersk Line, Limited; and Vincent J. Marino, CEO of CMC-ITI-CCS.

A Special Recognition plaque will honor Edward R. Morgan for over 20 years of leadership as USS President, presented by his successor, F. Anthony Naccarato, a veteran maritime executive and current President of American Maritime Officers Services.

The AOTOS Awards, symbolized by the silver Columbus statuette, will be presented at a black-tie gala on Friday, October 24, 2025, at the Sheraton New York Times Square Hotel. The evening will also honor American seafarers for acts of heroism, supporting USS's mission to serve mariners worldwide.

For more than 50 years, AOTOS has recognized individuals whose leadership and dedication have advanced the U.S. maritime industry and supported the welfare of the American seafaring workforce.

David W. Heindel, President of the Seafarers International Union, will serve as Dinner Chairman, with F. Anthony Naccarato of American Maritime Officers Service and Joseph J. Cox of Cox Maritime LLC as National Committee Co-Chairmen. USS is led by President F. Anthony Naccarato and Executive Director Roger T. Korner.
