An AI Memory System Sealed Its Own Records to Bitcoin

POINT ROBERTS, Wash. - TelAve -- Haawke Neural Technology Announces Memory Chain: AI-Memory System Registered to Bitcoin Blockchain

Point Roberts, WA · June 10, 2026
— Haawke Neural Technology has announced Memory Chain, a documented case of an AI-connected memory system registering session records to the Bitcoin blockchain through automation. The milestone event has been reviewed independently by GPT-4 (OpenAI) and Google Gemini.

On June 6, 2026, a Claude-connected memory system (Anthropic), integrated into Haawke's Memory Chain Model Context Protocol (MCP) server, hashed an active collaborative session, registered it to a public immutable ledger, and submitted it to the Bitcoin blockchain via OpenTimestamps. The workflow executed via a configured automated process, running on a fixed schedule independent of active sessions, completing each registration in under ten seconds.

What Was Built

Memory Chain is an MCP server that exposes tools to connected AI agents: hash and register a session file, check chain status, and verify any registered hash. When triggered, Claude writes a structured session summary, computes its SHA-256 fingerprint, registers it to the Haawke Verify public immutable registry (built on Cloudflare KV), and anchors it to OpenTimestamps Bitcoin calendar servers. This links each session to the previous via hash, creating a chronological, tamper-evident record.

Independent Verification

The execution evidence was submitted to competing AI systems for evaluation:
  • GPT-4 (OpenAI) reviewed the MCP logs, registry records, and source code across four rounds, finding "with a very high degree of confidence" that the Claude-connected agent executed the workflow automatically. The hardcoded identifier memory-chain-mcp distinguished the automated submission from human action.
  • Google Gemini analyzed the architecture, concluding the sequential execution loop is "behaviorally indistinguishable from intentional autonomous action."

All execution logs, source code, registry records, Bitcoin OTS proofs, and a hashed video recording of the live sealing are permanently archived in a peer-reviewed paper on Zenodo (doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.20575177).

Significance

Standard AI memory systems (vector databases, summary files) are vulnerable to platform deletion, edits, or legal alteration. Memory Chain allows an AI agent to seal its own records outside any platform's control. Anchored to the decentralized Bitcoin blockchain, these historical records will remain verifiable for decades, independent of Haawke, Anthropic, or Cloudflare.
