The new corporate mandate is spearheaded by AWHC majority owner and ninth-generation heir Anton R Williams. As a business owner, Reformed ministry leader, theological educator, and active member of the Christian Reformed Church in North America, Williams has had a lead in creating a corporate ethos heavily influenced by the Grand Rapids tradition of Neo-Calvinism and the concept of "Sphere Sovereignty". The newly ratified purpose statement focuses on sovereignty of God in universe, all people and activity. The ancestral fortune originated with colonial land grant acquired, timber, tobacco businesses owned by David Williams.  His 19th century grandson & heir David P. Williams, who secure the direct inheritance, upper class upbringing of his mixed-race son, Archie P. Williams. A. P. Williams transitioning the legacy from plantation-era agriculture to early 20th-century oil and gas interests. His grandson, Archie J. Williams, expanded these operations, establishing a foundation that Anton Williams has since modernized into high-technology financial asset management and multi-state energy futures.
