Lightning Water believes part of the solution may be found in one of nature's oldest processes. The company's technology is based on plasma-activated water, inspired by the natural reactions that occur during lightning storms. By creating a controlled version of this process, Lightning Water is evaluating how plasma-activated water can support healthier growing environments and improve agricultural efficiency.

Researchers have also reported potential applications for produce washing, irrigation, equipment sanitation, and post-harvest handling, although additional validation under commercial growing conditions is needed.
