The Association of Syrian Alawites in Europe joins the Frankfurt conference to unite the diaspora, honor March 2025 victims, and promote human rights, cultural identity, and coordinated community action.

FRANKFURT, Germany - TelAve -- Held on Saturday, March 7, 2026 (10:00 AM CET) through Sunday, March 8, 2026 (6:00 PM CET) at Alevitische Gemeinde & Kulturzentrum Frankfurt e.V., An d. Steinmühle 16, 65934 Frankfurt am Main, Germany.

The conference served as a comprehensive coordination framework that brought together initiatives, associations, and independent members of the Alawite diaspora in response to the shared existential challenges facing the community, particularly following the massacres of March 2025 in Syria.

As a European civic and humanitarian organisation, the Association of Syrian Alawites in Europe contributed to discussions aimed at strengthening unity, preserving identity, and advancing coordinated action across the diaspora. The Association reaffirmed its commitment to supporting peaceful, lawful, and inclusive efforts that served Alawites wherever they resided.

The Association's Contribution

Through its participation, the Association aimed to:
  1. Support the establishment of the conference as an open and safe framework that embraced diversity of opinion while transforming it into constructive strength.
  2. Promote responsible discourse that preserves Alawite identity, protects collective memory, and prevents distortion or harmful exploitation.
  3. Advocate for the commemoration of the March 2025 massacres and support initiatives seeking accountability and justice in accordance with international legal standards.
  4. Encourage and adopt civic initiatives aligned with the principles of human dignity, unity, and community empowerment.

The Association underscores that the conference operated without claims of guardianship or exclusive representation. Rather, it sought to organise and coordinate collective efforts based on the principle that shared destiny took precedence over individual affiliations.

Commitment to Rights and Unity

In line with the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the Association supported mechanisms that defended the fundamental rights of Alawites, foremost among them the rights to life, dignity, freedom, and self-determination.

The unity of the Alawite community—despite differences in perspectives and approaches—remained a central priority of both the conference and the Association's broader mission.
