CHARLOTTE, N.C. - TelAve -- The Charlotte Mecklenburg Black Heritage Committee (CMBHC) is proud to announce that veteran broadcaster and community leader Beatrice Thompson has accepted the invitation to serve as Mistress of Ceremony for the upcoming Thereasea D. Elder Trailblazer Award Brunch, to be held on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at the Charlotte Museum of History.

This year's brunch marks a meaningful milestone as the Committee presents its first public tribute to the late Thereasea D. "TD" Elder, honoring her remarkable contributions to Charlotte-Mecklenburg's African American community. Known for her pioneering work as a public health nurse, advocate, and historian, Ms. Elder's legacy continues to inspire future generations.
