FORT MYERS, Fla. - TelAve -- Southwest Florida Community Prayer Breakfast will host its annual Southwest Florida Community Prayer Breakfast on Friday, April 30 at 6 a.m. at Caloosa Sound Convention Center in Fort Myers. This year's event will be hosted in advance of the National Day of Prayer and features American professional surfer Bethany Hamilton as the keynote speaker.

Known around the world for her resilience and faith, Hamilton inspired millions after surviving a shark attack at age 13 that resulted in the loss of her left arm. One month later, she returned to the water and went on to become a professional surfer, choosing courage over fear and embracing a mindset that continues to shape her service to others.

Hamilton's story became the subject of the feature film "Soul Surfer." Today, she shares her testimony through speaking engagements, bestselling books and the "All Things Possible" podcast. Through her nonprofit organization, Beautifully Flawed, she supports amputees and individuals facing physical challenges through surf experiences, outreach initiatives and faith-based programs that help participants navigate adversity and build confidence.
