Bloomington: Parks and Recreation's Tuesday Market Opens June 3 at Hopewell Commons

~ Bloomington, IN- The Bloomington Community Farmers' Market is gearing up for the 2025 season with the opening of its weekday version on June 3. Located at Hopewell Commons on 332 W. University St., the Tuesday Market will run from 4-7 p.m.
As a popular destination for fresh, locally grown farm products, the Tuesday Market will feature a variety of farm vendors and prepared food vendors who use locally made and grown ingredients in their ready-to-eat offerings. Admission to the market is free for all attendees.
For those driving to the market, vehicle parking is available on West University Street just east of Rogers Street. However, attendees are encouraged to walk or bike to the event via the B-Line Trail, with bike racks conveniently located on both sides of Hopewell Commons. For those taking public transportation, Bloomington Transit's #2 South Rogers/Countryview bus can be taken to the bus stop at Rogers Street and First Street.

In addition to fresh produce and delicious food options, visitors can also enjoy live music at the Tuesday Market every other week as part of Parks and Recreation's Performing Arts Series presented by Visit Bloomington. The first performance will be by LeRoy McQueen on June 3 from 4:30-6 p.m., followed by The Jerrell Charleston Quartet on June 17 from 4:30-6 p.m.
The Tuesday Market also offers a great opportunity for those utilizing Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits. By using their Hoosier Works Electronic Benefits Transfer (EBT) card at the market's info tent, visitors can double their SNAP dollars and receive up to $54 worth of fresh food per visit when spending up to $27 with their EBT card. Market Bucks are available in $3 increments and can be used like cash to purchase food stamp-eligible farm products.
