TelAve News/10887412
~ The City of Bloomington's Commission on the Status of Women is excited to announce the upcoming 2026 Women's History Month Luncheon. The event will take place on Wednesday, March 25 at the Monroe Convention Center, located at 302 S. College Ave.
This year's theme, "Leading the Change: Women Shaping a Sustainable Future," aims to honor and celebrate women who are making a difference in creating a sustainable future for all. These women are reimagining and rebuilding systems to ensure long-term sustainability in areas such as the environment, economy, education, and society.
The Commission is proud to welcome Deana Potterf as this year's keynote speaker. Potterf is the Chief Executive Officer of Girl Scouts of Central Indiana, one of the nation's largest Girl Scout councils. With over 27 years of nonprofit leadership experience, Potterf has been instrumental in expanding access and opportunities for girls from underserved communities to develop leadership skills that will last a lifetime.
