Boom•Clap Spins Out of CanCanCan as an Independent Contextual Discovery Service
TelAve News/10906620
The contextual discovery and audience awareness service becomes independent as CanCanCan shifts upstream toward research and discovery data.
NEW YORK - TelAve -- Being & Time LLC announced that Boom•Clap, previously the service layer of CanCanCan, is becoming an independent product at boomclap.space.
Boom•Clap originated within CanCanCan (Can3), Being & Time's contextual discovery research and data system. While CanCanCan researches contextual relationships and produces structured discovery data, Boom•Clap applies that work to identify opportunities, understand audiences in context, and put discovery into circulation.
The separation clarifies their roles: CanCanCan researches and produces contextual discovery data; Boom•Clap puts contextual discovery into circulation.
Boom•Clap brings together Resonance, Melody, and Cruise to support contextual discovery, audience awareness, and circulation. The service applies these capabilities to digital PR, advertising, content distribution, and audience development across websites, social media, and other digital environments.

Boom•Clap is particularly interested in attention residual spaces — moments, contexts, and digital surfaces where attention exists outside conventional feeds and search results. Rather than building another destination platform, Boom•Clap helps digital works move through these contexts.
The service is already operating across clients ranging from independent websites to social media accounts, with approximately 50,000 unique visitors passing through its infrastructure each day.
From CanCanCan to Boom•Clap
CanCanCan remains focused upstream on contextual discovery research and CANDY data packs, while Boom•Clap develops services that apply its research to circulation and audience awareness. CanCanCan's research can serve Boom•Clap and other applications while the two develop independently.
CanCanCan also remains home to original research and discovery projects including Never Bored.
