~ Boston families and residents are in for a treat as Mayor Michelle Wu announces the Winter Festival at Franklin Park. The festival, which will take place from February 19 to 21, aims to bring energy, creativity, and community to the city's largest park through music, recreation, and hands-on programming.
In partnership with Boston Parks and Recreation and the Franklin Park Coalition, the Winter Festival promises to offer a variety of activities for people of all ages. "We're excited to invite Boston families and residents to explore Franklin Park in new ways through music, recreation, and hands-on programming," said Mayor Wu.
The festival will kick off on Thursday, February 19 with a Stable Tour at the Franklin Park Maintenance Yard. From 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., visitors can meet members of the Boston Park Rangers Mounted Unit and learn about their role in protecting and patrolling Boston's parks. Later in the day, from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., there will be a Snowshoeing Safari at the William Devine Golf Course Parking Lot.
On Friday, February 20, visitors can participate in Horse-of-Course with the Boston Park Rangers Mounted Unit at the William Devine Golf Course Parking Lot from 2:00 p.m. to 2:45 p.m.
