~ As the highly anticipated World Cup approaches, the city of Boston is gearing up for a series of exciting events and festivities. According to a recent press release, the matches will take place on June 13, 16, 19, 23, 26, 29, and July 9. With this in mind, the city has announced street closures, parking restrictions, and curb regulation changes that will be in effect on game days.
In addition to the matches themselves, fans can also look forward to the Fan Festival at City Hall Plaza from June 12 to June 27. This event is sure to draw large crowds and create a lively atmosphere in the heart of Boston. Two fan walks have also been scheduled - the Haiti World Cup Fan Walk on June 13 and the Tartan Army World Cup Fan Walk on June 14. It is important for attendees to note that parking restrictions will be in place for all of these events.

To avoid any transportation issues or delays, officials are urging people to utilize public transportation when coming into the city for these events. The MBTA has provided a guide specifically for public transportation during the World Cup which can be found on their website. Additionally, information about Bluebikes - Boston's public bike share system - can be found on their website as well. For those who prefer walking as a means of transportation, it is also a great way to move around Boston.
However, it is important for everyone to note that changes may occur with regards to restrictions and regulations set by the City of Boston's Police and Transportation Departments. It is crucial for attendees to carefully read all posted signs and variable message boards in order to stay informed about any updates or changes. With proper planning and following all guidelines set by officials, fans are sure to have an enjoyable experience during this year's World Cup events in Boston.
