HOUSTON, Sept. 16, 2025 ~ Houston, Texas - Bot Auto, a leading autonomous trucking company, has made history by successfully completing its first humanless hub-to-hub validation run in Houston. The company, which specializes in Transportation-as-a-Service (TaaS), has redefined the logistics industry with its innovative approach to autonomous trucking.

The milestone achievement was announced by Bot Auto's founder and CEO, Dr. Xiaodi Hou. He stated that the successful run serves as a validation benchmark for the company's maturity and safety in its autonomy stack and test protocols. This accomplishment comes just two years after the company's founding and highlights Bot Auto's unique combination of next-generation AI technologies and focused execution.

The humanless run was executed at sunset, navigating real-world traffic conditions seamlessly within its defined operational domain. This feat is a significant step towards Bot Auto's ultimate goal of beating human cost-per-mile consistently and safely. Dr. Hou emphasized that at Bot Auto, "humanless" truly means no human involvement whatsoever - not in the driver's seat, not in the back seat, and not even behind a remote joystick.

Prior to the validation run, Bot Auto completed rigorous end-to-end safety verification and validation for its defined Operational Design Domain (ODD). This included extensive closed-course autonomy testing to ensure the utmost safety for all operations. Additionally, the truck was equipped with multiple layers of protection such as diversified redundancy, continuous health monitoring, and verified minimum-risk fallback measures to maintain intended performance under normal conditions and respond safely to unexpected events.

While this milestone is significant for Bot Auto, it is only a waypoint on their journey towards fully autonomous commercial operations. The company has been operating with safety drivers onboard between Houston and San Antonio for several months now. In the coming months, they plan to conduct their first humanless commercial cargo run between these two hubs as part of their continuous validation process.

Bot Auto's success in achieving this groundbreaking milestone sets a new industry pace for autonomous trucking and solidifies their position as a leader in the field. With their innovative approach and commitment to safety, Bot Auto is poised to revolutionize the logistics industry and pave the way for a future of humanless transportation.
