This announcement comes after a series of recent news from Governor Newsom's administration. On June 18, he announced his appointment of 16 Superior Court Judges in various counties across California. This includes six in Los Angeles County, one in Merced County, one in Orange County, one in San Diego County, two in San Francisco County, and three in Santa Clara County.
In addition to judicial appointments, Governor Newsom also addressed concerns about federal cuts to National Parks and public lands after celebrating State Parks Week with over 170 events across California.
Furthermore, the state is making progress towards affordable housing initiatives with groundbreaking ceremonies for two new communities in San Francisco. These developments are part of Governor Newsom's executive order to convert excess and underutilized state land into affordable housing options.
As California continues to face challenges such as natural disasters and housing shortages, Governor Newsom remains committed to supporting communities and finding solutions for these issues.
