Centrix Wins 2025 Sparks Play Strategy Toy & Game Award:
TelAve News/10880141
A Revolutionary 3D Board Game That Spins Strategy in a Whole New Dimension
TORONTO - TelAve -- Analog Game Studios is thrilled to announce that Centrix, the visually stunning and mechanically groundbreaking 3D strategy board game, has won the 2025 Sparks Play Strategy Toy & Game Award — recognizing its innovation, creativity, and accessibility in tabletop design.
Centrix is unlike anything that has come before it. Designed by Richard MacRae and Corey Myckan, this "thinking person's classic" reimagines traditional board gaming in seven stacked levels with six rotating rings, creating a tactile, multi-dimensional puzzle that challenges players to think several moves ahead — both vertically and laterally.
"Centrix was born from the idea that board games could move beyond the flat table surface," said Richard MacRae, Co-Designer and Publisher at Analog Game Studios. "We wanted to create a game that feels alive in your hands — where you're not just rolling dice, but solving a living, shifting puzzle each turn."

In Centrix, 2–6 players race to move their pawns from the outermost level to the summit. But this isn't your roll-and-move game of old — instead, players draw three cards each turn, combining their powers to rotate rings, advance pawns, or change the landscape itself. Every move requires foresight, creativity, and a bit of daring.
With its sculptural design, premium components, and sleek aesthetic, Centrix blends tactile satisfaction with deep replayability — earning its place as a must-have for both strategy enthusiasts and casual gamers.
"This award validates our belief that innovation in tabletop design is far from over," added MacRae. "Centrix invites players to literally think in circles — and we're beyond proud to see it recognized for pushing the boundaries of how games can look, feel, and play."
The Sparks Play Strategy Toy & Game Awards celebrate originality and meaningful play, recognizing designs that inspire imagination and thoughtful competition.
