TelAve News/10889937
(COLUMBIA, MO) ~ Columbia, MO - The Office of Cultural Affairs has announced that they are now accepting applications for the annual City of Columbia Commemorative Poster. The deadline for submissions is 5 p.m. on Monday, March 16. The chosen artist will receive a $1,000 award and their artwork will be reproduced for the poster. The poster will then be unveiled at the Celebration of the Arts event later this year.

This year's theme for the poster is the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. Artists are encouraged to submit designs that commemorate this milestone while also showcasing Columbia's local history and promoting civic pride and optimism for the future.

In addition to being featured locally, this year's City of Columbia Commemorative Poster will also be submitted to the America 250 City Art Poster Project. This project is being administered by the U.S. Conference of Mayors in partnership with the National Endowment for the Arts.

Artists interested in submitting a design can find full guidelines and eligibility information on CoMo.gov/cultural-affairs/call-for-artists/. Don't miss this opportunity to showcase your talent and contribute to celebrating Columbia's history and future!
