(COLUMBIA, MO) ~ Columbia, MO - The City of Columbia has announced that they are now accepting applications for their annual Capture Columbia budget Photo Contest. Aspiring photographers are encouraged to submit their best shots of landscapes, artwork, or other landmarks in Columbia, Missouri for a chance to be featured in the 2027 fiscal year City budget.

To be eligible for the competition, participants must be residents of Missouri and at least 18 years old. Entries can be submitted via email or by filling out an entry form on the city's website, CoMo.gov/capture-como.

It is important to note that submissions should not include any logos other than the City of Columbia's. A panel from the City Finance department will select the top 12 entries based on aesthetic composition, picture clarity and quality, and how well they promote the city. These top entries will then be open to public voting from May 6-10 to determine the final winners.

The winners will be notified via email and will receive a framed version of their image as well as being featured on the city's social media pages. Submissions will close at 5 p.m. on Thursday, April 30th. This is a great opportunity for local photographers to showcase their talents and have their work displayed in a prominent way within the city's budget. Don't miss your chance to Capture Columbia!
