FORT MYERS, Fla. - TelAve -- Collaboratory is bringing Southwest Florida together for an evening focused on navigating adversity and realizing human potential through Ordinary to Extraordinary, a free lecture and networking event on Thursday, Oct. 22.

Held from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Collaboratory in Fort Myers, the event will feature networking and light refreshments, followed by an interactive presentation and a Q&A. The event is designed for college students, emerging leaders, professionals at every stage of their careers and anyone seeking personal or professional growth.

Featured speaker Dr. Gary Josephson, a best-selling author and physician, will draw on lessons from his career, evidence-based research and positive psychology to explore adversity, resilience and human potential. Building on ideas from his book, "Ordinary to Extraordinary: Seven Principles for Life Success," Dr. Josephson will encourage attendees to view challenges as opportunities for growth and consider how their choices can shape their well-being, relationships and personal definition of success.

"Adversity is something every person encounters, but it does not have to define where we go next," said Collaboratory Vice President of Operations Kim Williams. "This event gives people an opportunity to think intentionally about where they are headed and what they want to achieve. The evening begins with networking and light refreshments from 5:30 to 6:15 p.m., followed by Dr. Josephson's presentation from 6:15 to 7:15 p.m. The event will conclude with a Q&A from 7:15 to 7:30 p.m.
