Colorado: Governor Polis Launches New Operational Agenda Focused on Delivering Quality Services to Coloradans and Making Government More Efficient
TelAve News/10850143
DENVER ~ Governor Polis of Colorado has unveiled his Administration's 2025-2027 Operational Agenda, a comprehensive plan to improve state government services and increase efficiency. This agenda builds upon the successes of the first six years of the Polis-Primaverra Administration, including the implementation of universal preschool and saving Colorado families $239 million in its first year. The Governor's bold economic recovery agenda during the COVID-19 pandemic also resulted in the nation's third-fastest rebound in labor force participation. Additionally, the state has secured $8.6 billion in federal infrastructure funds to build resilient communities and sustain progress for future generations.
The Governor's Agenda focuses on five core areas: providing top-notch digital services, delivering personalized customer support through contact centers, building a skilled workforce through work-based learning opportunities, leading by example with investments in electric vehicles and emissions reductions, and reducing the state's physical footprint by 800,000 square feet by 2027.

Governor Polis stated, "In Colorado, we are committed to making government more efficient, sustainable, and responsive to the needs of all Coloradans. This operational agenda outlines our goals and how we will achieve them. As we deliver on this agenda we will ensure Coloradans have access to high-quality services and leave our state better than we found it."
The Operational Agenda includes a combination of new initiatives as well as a continued focus on ongoing efforts such as the Digital Government Strategic Plan and executive orders on greening government and skills-based hiring. The establishment of the Colorado Digital Service in 2019 has also played a crucial role in bringing modern technology practices into state government.
To support these efforts, the Colorado Digital Service and Governor's Office of Operations will launch new communities of practice for product managers and call center executives. These communities will provide training, analytics products, and technical support to increase efficiency across state agencies.
This whole-of-government approach aims to bring together state agencies and the Governor's Office to ensure that Coloradans have access to high-quality support to thrive. To track progress and learn more about the Operational Agenda, visit the designated website.
