TelAve News/10891926
~ Colorado Springs Airport Continues to See Strong Travel Demand in February 2026
According to the latest traffic report released by Colorado Springs Airport, the month of February 2026 saw a steady demand for travel, with airlines reporting strong load factors and several carriers showing year-over-year gains. The airport's focus on long-term growth through expanded air service and partnerships with airlines has resulted in enhanced travel options for the Pikes Peak region.
One notable increase was recorded by Allegiant Air, with its load factor up by 17.8 percentage points compared to February 2025. This growth was largely driven by the airline's St. Petersburg route. Overall, the airport's load factor rose by 3.7 percentage points in comparison to the same period last year.
In addition to these positive developments, Colorado Springs Airport has also announced some notable updates for travelers. The airport's partnership with Cottonwood Center for the Arts has resulted in a new exhibition titled "Inflight Dining – In Consideration of the Airline Meal," which is set to open in April 2026. Submissions for this exhibition are due by April 3rd.
Furthermore, travelers can now enjoy the newly opened Colorado Craft seating area on the concourse. To celebrate this and other recent enhancements, the airport will be hosting an event called "Flights & Bites" on April 7th, showcasing local flavors and expanded amenities for passengers.

The ongoing concourse modernization project at Colorado Springs Airport is also making progress, with TSA checkpoint entry and exit ramps permanently reopened. The installation of new ramp railing is expected to be completed by early summer 2026, marking the final phase of this project.
As for routes served from Colorado Springs Airport, there are some exciting developments as well. Travelers can now enjoy twice-weekly service to all three destinations, five daily flights to DFW with extensive domestic and international connections, daily service to ORD, and twice-daily service to ATL (except Saturdays). Additionally, there is also twice-daily service to SLC, seasonal daily service to MSP from June 7th to September 30th, and five-day-per-week service to SAN.
For those looking for a tropical getaway, weekly seasonal service to CUN will be available on March 21st and 28th, as well as April 4th. And for convenient nationwide connections, there are up to three daily flights to DEN and twelve daily flights to DEN. Beginning April 6th, service to ORD will increase to two daily flights. Lastly, there is also twice-daily service to IAH and three key destinations with connections throughout the U.S. and internationally.
With these developments and ongoing efforts towards growth and improvement, Colorado Springs Airport continues to be a top choice for travelers in the Pikes Peak region.
