Colorado Springs: Applications now open - Survive and Thrive: Small business loan program - Summer 2026 Cohort

~ Colorado Springs, CO - Exponential Impact and the City of Colorado Springs have announced the launch of their Summer 2026 Small Business Loan Program, a Survive and Thrive initiative aimed at supporting local businesses in El Paso County. The program offers low-interest, non-collateralized loans of up to $50,000 and an 8-week entrepreneurial support program to help small businesses grow and thrive.
According to Shawna Lippert, Economic Development Manager at the City of Colorado Springs, this partnership is a testament to the city's commitment to supporting its small business community. "We are excited to continue our partnership with Exponential Impact and provide local businesses with access to capital, mentorship, education, and a supportive community through this program," she stated.
Eligible businesses must be headquartered in El Paso County with less than 50 full-time employees and at least 6 months of operating revenue. This loan program is ideal for businesses looking for growth opportunities, planning to hire and train employees, redefining their business model, or facing challenges in accessing traditional financing.

Max Cupp, Executive Director of Exponential Impact, expressed his enthusiasm for the upcoming cohort. "Survive and Thrive offers more than just funding. It provides lasting community connections, personalized mentorship, and real-time support for business challenges," he said.
Selected participants will be required to complete an 8-week program that includes personalized mentor pods and expert-led sessions covering various topics such as finance, leadership, marketing, operational strategies, and personal growth. The sessions will be held on Wednesdays from July 8th to August 26th in 2026 from 1:00-3:00 p.m., with a graduation ceremony on September 2nd from 5:00-7:00 p.m.
Accepted businesses will receive a three-year loan at a fixed interest rate of 5%. Brian Laycock, owner of Urban Animal Brewing, shared his positive experience with the program. "As a first-time business owner, I wasn't sure what to expect from this program. But after completing Survive and Thrive, I have not only learned valuable skills to improve my business but also gained a network of fellow small business owners for advice and support. I highly recommend this program to anyone with a small business," he said.
