Colorado Springs: City announces funding opportunity to address homelessness through Continuum of Care program

~ The City of Colorado Springs has recently announced the release of a Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) for the Continuum of Care (CoC) Program. As per the announcement, local organizations are encouraged to apply for this funding opportunity by submitting Letters of Intent (LOIs) before 5 p.m. on June 22.

This funding opportunity, made available by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), totals to $4.04 billion and will be awarded through the 2026 Continuum of Care competition. The City, acting as the Collaborative Applicant for the Pikes Peak Continuum of Care (PPCoC), is actively supporting and promoting participation from local organizations in order to help address homelessness in the community through outreach, supportive services, and housing programs.

The 2026 CoC Program NOFO offers new opportunities for expanded partnerships, which the City is encouraging eligible agencies serving people experiencing homelessness to take advantage of by learning more about the program and submitting their applications.

To provide more information about this funding opportunity, a free informational webinar will be held on Wednesday, June 17 from 4 to 5 p.m. Interested organizations can register for this webinar and submit any questions they may have in advance through the provided registration link. In partnership with Pikes Peak United Way, which now serves as the lead agency for the Pikes Peak Continuum of Care, the City is committed to supporting implementation and community coordination efforts.
