~ Colorado Springs City Council Leadership has addressed the recent misinformation surrounding the Southeast Strong Neighborhood Plan. After meeting with Southeast stakeholders, they have clarified that there has been no delay in the plan's consideration by City Council.
Contrary to some reports, the proposed Southeast Strong Plan has not been scheduled for a vote by City Council. It has not appeared on any formal published meeting agendas or on the City Council agenda planner. Therefore, no vote has been postponed or delayed.

Currently, City Council is thoroughly reviewing the plan and conducting their due diligence to ensure all implications and potential adjustments are carefully considered before it is brought to a City Council Work Session for open discussion. The City Planning Department has been working on this plan for several years and City Council is committed to taking the necessary time to review it thoroughly.
In light of these developments, residents are encouraged to seek updates from verified sources and reach out with any questions they may have. The City Council Leadership, consisting of President Lynette Crow-Iverson and President Pro Tem Brian Risley, remains dedicated to transparency, open communication, and supporting initiatives that strengthen the community.
