Colorado Springs: Westside Community "Saleabration" Block Party to take place Saturday
TelAve News/10831961
~ The Westside Community Center (WCC) is gearing up to host its first ever Westside Community Saleabration Block Party on Saturday, June 15. This event is part of the City of Colorado Springs' 1,000 Neighborhood Gatherings initiative, which aims to bring residents together and build stronger, more connected neighborhoods.
From 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., the WCC will be bustling with activities for all ages. The main attraction will be a community-wide yard sale and swap meet, where residents can buy and sell items from their own homes. In addition, there will be a recycling pick up service available for those looking to declutter and do their part for the environment.
Food trucks will also be on site, providing delicious treats for attendees to enjoy while browsing the various vendors and activities. Live music will add to the festive atmosphere and create a sense of community among all those in attendance.

The Westside Community Center has been operated by the City of Colorado Springs for two years now, with June marking its anniversary. Through a public-private partnership, the center has been able to incorporate feedback from residents' recommendations and offer a variety of programs and activities that cater to the needs of the community.
City leaders are encouraging all residents and businesses to participate in the 1,000 Neighborhood Gatherings initiative. By hosting or attending gatherings in their own neighborhoods between May 18 and Sept. 28, individuals can help address mental health issues by building social support systems within their communities. To make it even easier, all gatherings can be registered online through ColoradoSprings.gov/1000Gatherings.
For more information about the Westside Community Center or the upcoming Saleabration Block Party, visit ColoradoSprings.gov/WestsideCommunityCenter. This is an opportunity for residents to come together, have fun, and strengthen their neighborhood bonds – all while supporting a great cause. Don't miss out on this exciting event!
