Columbia: Interested parties meeting for Providence Road and Blue Ridge Road roundabout project to be held June 17

(COLUMBIA, MO) ~ COLUMBIA, MO - The City of Columbia Public Works department is set to hold an open house meeting to discuss the proposed Providence Road and Blue Ridge Road roundabout project. The meeting will take place on Wednesday, June 17 from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at Grace Bible Church located at 601 Blue Ridge Road.

The project aims to replace the current intersection with a modern roundabout in order to improve traffic flow and enhance safety for drivers, pedestrians, and cyclists. Additionally, pedestrian accommodations will be included in the design to improve accessibility and connections through the intersection area.

Construction for the project is scheduled to begin in summer 2028. In preparation for this, residents and interested parties are encouraged to attend the open house where they can review preliminary design concepts, ask questions, and provide feedback to City engineering staff. A public comment form will also be available at the meeting.
