Columbia: Lane closure announced for road work on Rogers Street, March 23; lane shift on Forum Boulevard, March 26
TelAve News/10891391
(COLUMBIA, MO) ~ Columbia's Public Works Street division has announced that road work will be taking place on Rogers Street in front of Jefferson Middle School starting at 7 a.m. on Monday, March 23. The crews will be replacing a section of failed concrete pavement in the eastbound lane, which will involve removing deteriorated concrete and pouring a new panel.
During the work, one lane will be closed and traffic will be directed by flaggers through the work zone. The road is expected to fully reopen by 5 p.m., weather permitting.
In addition to this project, crews will also be performing road work on Forum Boulevard near the intersection of Crestwood Lane starting at 7 a.m. on Thursday, March 26. This work is necessary to replace a collapsed section of pavement.

While no full lane closures are planned for this project, northbound traffic will need to shift lanes through the work area. Drivers should also expect reduced speeds for worker safety in the northbound lanes as this section of Forum Boulevard transitions from four lanes to two lanes. However, southbound traffic is expected to flow normally.
To notify drivers of these projects, traffic message boards will be in place. All lanes are expected to reopen by 5 p.m. on Thursday, March 26, weather permitting.
These projects are in addition to previously announced road work on North Garth Avenue on March 23 and South Fairview Road on March 24-25. Drivers are advised to plan their routes accordingly and follow any posted detours or speed limit reductions for their safety and the safety of the workers.
