Columbia Police respond to shots fired at West Texas Avenue, April 26

(COLUMBIA, MO) ~ Columbia police officers were called to the scene of a shooting on April 26 at approximately 12 p.m. The incident occurred in the area of West Texas Avenue and Creasy Springs, where shots were fired. Upon further investigation, it was discovered that Nakyia Johnson, 26, had shot at a vehicle containing her ex-boyfriend. Fortunately, there were no injuries or damage to any other property.
Johnson was taken into custody and charged with first-degree domestic assault, armed criminal action, and unlawful use of a weapon. The Columbia Police Department is asking for anyone with information about this incident to come forward and contact them at 573.874.7652.
