(COLUMBIA, MO) ~ Columbia residents can expect some traffic and parking disruptions on Monday, March 23 as Schuyler and Company LLC begins cleaning the exterior windows of the Fifth and Walnut Parking Garage. The work will begin at 6 a.m. and is expected to be completed by 5 p.m., weather permitting.

According to the company, the cleaning process will require both driving lanes on East Walnut Street to shift north, as well as portions of the sidewalk and multiple parking spaces between North Fifth and North Sixth streets to be closed. On North Fifth Street, both driving lanes will also shift west, with closures between East Walnut Street and East Broadway.

In addition, a portion of the alley between North Fifth and North Sixth streets will be closed, along with a section of sidewalk near the southeast corner of the parking garage.

The purpose of this cleaning is to maintain the appearance and functionality of the parking garage. Drivers are advised to plan their routes accordingly and use caution in these areas during the designated time frame.
