Creative Visions Announces #CreateConnectCare Mental Health Youth Advisory Committee
TelAve News/10820990
LOS ANGELES - TelAve -- Creative Visions is launching its inaugural Mental Health Youth Advisory Committee to support its #CreateConnectCare campaign, which promotes mental health awareness for youth through storytelling and creative expression. The Youth Advisory Committee will provide invaluable guidance and insights for the initiative that empowers youth to explore mental health and well-being through art, music, writing, filmmaking, and other mediums to raise awareness, reduce stigma, build connections, and promote care for themselves and others.
Alarming Statistics Highlight the Need for Action
The mental health of young people in the U.S. is a growing concern. According to the CDC, over 20% of youth (13-18) experience a serious mental illness. Additionally, over 40% of high school students reported persistent sadness or hopelessness in 2021. These alarming figures highlight the critical need for increased awareness, resources, and support systems to address this growing mental health crisis among our youth.
