CRH Ventures accelerates water infrastructure innovation with VODA.ai investment
TelAve News/10865553
NEW YORK, June 10, 2025 ~ Boston-based startup VODA.ai has received a significant boost in funding with a Series A investment led by CRH Ventures, the venture capital unit of CRH. The investment also saw participation from L-Stone Capital.
VODA.ai, founded in 2017, offers a platform that utilizes AI-driven predictive analytics to help utilities manage aging water infrastructure. The platform assesses pipe condition and risk across transmission, distribution, and collection systems. To date, VODA.ai's proprietary platform has analyzed over one million miles of pipe in 26 U.S. states and six countries. This technology enables utilities to prioritize the protection of critical infrastructure and efficiently allocate resources.
Eduardo Gomez Mendoza, Head of CRH Ventures, expressed excitement about the investment and its potential impact on smart water management solutions. "This investment expands CRH's existing solutions and represents a significant step forward in our mission to support technologies that make infrastructure smarter, more resilient, and more sustainable," he said.

The investment will not only provide financial support for VODA.ai's growth but also allow for the expansion of its research and development capabilities. This will enable the company to better serve municipal utilities and private water operators worldwide. The partnership between VODA.ai and Oldcastle Infrastructure, CRH's leading water infrastructure business in North America, will also enhance market access and collaboration opportunities.
George Demosthenous, CEO of VODA.ai, highlighted the benefits of having CRH as an investor. "CRH brings more than capital - it brings global reach, deep infrastructure expertise, and a shared vision for innovation," he said. "We're excited to work together to scale our impact and help utilities make smarter, data-driven decisions."
Jason Jackson, President of Oldcastle Infrastructure, emphasized CRH's commitment to supporting transformative solutions for infrastructure challenges. "This investment in VODA.ai reflects CRH's dedication to addressing the world's most pressing infrastructure challenges," he said. "We're excited to support its next phase of growth."
With this investment, VODA.ai is well-positioned to continue its mission of providing innovative solutions for managing aging water infrastructure and supporting utilities in delivering safe, reliable, and clean water to communities around the world.
