CTeL to Host Digital Health Showcase, Urging Lawmakers to Address Looming Telehealth Policy Crisis
TelAve News/10872180
WASHINGTON - TelAve -- The Center for Telehealth and eHealth Law (CTeL) is set to host its fall Digital Health Tech and AI Showcase on September 23 from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM in the Rayburn Foyer on Capitol Hill. This year's event carries a heightened sense of urgency as it seeks to directly connect the innovators shaping the future of healthcare with the policymakers responsible for its legal framework.
With a critical deadline looming, the event will highlight the vital need for congressional action on telehealth policies. The current telehealth waivers, which have been a lifeline for millions of patients, are set to expire on September 30, 2025, without legislative intervention. This deadline threatens to disrupt access to care, particularly for those in rural and underserved communities.
"The clock is ticking," said a CTeL Executive Director, Christa Natoli. "We are bringing the best and brightest in digital health and AI technology directly to Congress to demonstrate what is at stake. The decisions made in the coming months will determine whether the progress we've made in expanding access to care continues or is rolled back. This showcase is more than an exhibition; it's a call to action."
