Explore the New HandySCAN EVO with NeoMetrix - 3D Scanning & Advanced Engineering Capabilities
TelAve News/10886541
One of the most feature-packed handheld 3D scanners available for engineering applications today.
LAKE MARY, Fla. - TelAve -- NeoMetrix is excited to announce the upcoming release of a new video showcasing the HandySCAN EVO, one of the most feature-packed handheld 3D scanners available for engineering applications today.
Built for accuracy, speed, and real-world flexibility, the HandySCAN EVO is designed to support demanding use cases across reverse engineering, product development, manufacturing support, and inspection. Its portable design allows teams to capture high-resolution scan data directly on the shop floor or on-site—without tripods, external tracking, or controlled environments.
The HandySCAN EVO is engineered to deliver high-accuracy, high-resolution 3D scan data for demanding engineering environments. Designed as a fully portable handheld system, it requires no tripod, no external tracking, and no controlled setup—allowing teams to scan directly on the shop floor or in the field. Advanced features such as dynamic referencing, rapid setup, fast data acquisition, and reliable performance on complex geometry enable consistent results across both small intricate features and large industrial components.

The integrated touchscreen significantly changes the scanning experience by allowing engineers to focus on capturing the part rather than managing software at a workstation. Up to 90% of the scanning process can be completed directly from the device, reducing the need to move back and forth to a computer. This results in a more portable, flexible, and time-efficient operation, while giving users real-time visual feedback as the scanned mesh is built directly over the physical part on the screen.
Engineers rely on the HandySCAN EVO for reverse engineering, product development, manufacturing support, and inspection applications where speed and accuracy are critical. By capturing precise geometry quickly, teams can shorten design cycles, validate parts earlier, and support dimensional verification against CAD. The system is widely used across industries including manufacturing, aerospace, automotive, energy, and industrial equipment—where flexibility, repeatability, and real-world performance matter most.
