LOS ANGELES - TelAve -- The Punjabi film industry celebrated a memorable evening on June 6, 2026, as the much-anticipated Punjabi feature film Chaali Din premiered at the historic Crescent Theater in Beverly Hills, California. The special screening was hosted by the CIFFA.
Among the distinguished guests was renowned Punjabi actor and comedian Gurpreet Ghuggi and Parmindar Karla from Bollywood.

A Special Reunion

For film editor Parmindar Karla, the premiere was more than just a film screening—it was an opportunity to reconnect with a longtime colleague and friend. Parmindar Karla (professionally known as Parminder Kalra) is an accomplished film and video editor from Bollywood Industry with more than 25 years of experience in television, documentaries, short films, and feature films. Renowned for his storytelling skills and creative vision, he has edited over 2,000 television episodes, multiple acclaimed short films, and feature productions. Parmindar is recognized for delivering polished, impactful content that enhances the audience experience and brings stories to life. He has also contributed to Hollywood productions, including the upcoming feature film Vagator Mixer with Suneil Anand at Navketan Films, as well as projects with Kavi Raz Studios in Hollywood. In India, he worked closely with National Award-winning director Sukhwant Dhadda on several acclaimed television productions. He was also associated with the feature film Welcome Millions, directed by Milroy Goes, which qualified for consideration at the 91st Academy Awards. Parmindar is currently involved as an editor on several upcoming Hollywood films and television projects.

Karla previously worked with Gurpreet Ghuggi as an editor on the popular Punjabi television serials Ghuggi Express and Lori, both directed by acclaimed National Award-winning filmmaker Sukhwant Dhadda.

Speaking at the event, Karla reflected on their professional journey together and praised Ghuggi's dedication to his craft.
