New Guide Shows Madame Blanc Mysteries Fans Where To Find Filming Locations

KERCEM, Malta - TelAve -- The French village of Sainte Victoire, home to Jean White's antiques shop in The Madame Blanc Mysteries, doesn't exist. The places that play it do. A new unofficial guide, out on Kindle on 5 November and in paperback on 19 November, shows fans where to find them.

The Real Sainte Victoire: The Madame Blanc Mysteries Filming Locations Unofficial Guide by Gozo-based writer Kerry Gaffney covers more than 60 confirmed filming locations across Gozo and Malta, from all four series and the Christmas special.

The guide follows the show's move around the island: Sannat played Sainte Victoire's village square in series 1, before Għarb took over from series 2. It covers each location village by village, with the episodes it appears in, village maps, a one-day walking route and practical advice on buses, parking and where to stay.

The paperback publishes on the same day as the UK release of Madame Blanc and the Antiques Affair, the prequel novel by Sally Lindsay and R.W. Green. Series 5, filmed on Gozo and Malta this spring, is due on screen in November.

Kerry Gaffney said: "More and more fans arrive on Gozo knowing Sainte Victoire is here somewhere, but not where exactly. This is the guide for them. It shows you where more than 60 locations are and how to reach them, and it covers the rest of your trip too: where to stay, how the buses work, and what to see when you're not standing outside Jean White's shop."

The Real Sainte Victoire is available to pre-order now on Kindle (£6.99), publishing 5 November. The paperback (£16.99) follows on 19 November 2026.

About the author

Kerry Gaffney is a travel writer based on Gozo, where she has lived since 2021. Her writing has appeared in Business Insider and Universal Traveller. She founded Scene on Gozo after spotting a gap no one else seemed interested in filling: fans of The Madame Blanc Mysteries were making the trip to find the real filming locations and coming away with almost nothing useful to go on. The site has grown into a broader travel and screen-tourism resource covering more than 100 film and TV productions shot on Malta and Gozo. Gozo in a Day: Film & TV Location Guide is her first published guide.
