First Audiobook Wins Outstanding Creator Awards For Historical Fiction & Other Categories
TelAve News/10884658
"Wetion" (2nd edn) by James Allan Krause, PhD, Won 9 Awards in 2025 for Newly Published Audiobook
COURTENAY COMOX, British Columbia - TelAve -- Multiple Outstanding Creator Awards were received for the newly published audiobook Wetion (2nd edn). The first of a trilogy, this book presents interconnected short stories and a full play with ten original songs. Wetion and others in a series of fiction stories are the work of Canadian author James Allan Krause, PhD. Accolades are shared with editors, Anna Krause, BEd, and Beverly Harris, MA.
Wetion received a first place prize for Historical Fiction, finishing second place in the categories of Science Fiction and Education and Reference Books, along with a third place prize for Audiobooks. It received five Honourable Mentions for different categories.
Science is the basis of the plot in Wetion. The Genographic Project, an experiment sponsored by the National Geographic Society, analyzed the author's DNA. Test results charted the migration routes of Haplogroups identified - mainly those of European descent. Places they inhabited were incorporated into the storyline.

Historical sources add to character development and Wetion's overall authenticity. Project Gutenberg and other archival resources were consulted to enhance a story that takes listeners back to the age of Adam and Eve before moving forward sequentially in time. In chronicling the defining moments of players focused on over 2,000 generations, the actual events of each era add depth to the account. Greek philosophers and other masters stoke the emotions with their expressions while the tales recount legends explaining our existence, relationships with each other and lives lived in Africa, the Middle East, Europe, and finally America.
Wetion's (2nd) multimedia design was used in the remaining works from The Trilogy: Looking Back, Here and Now, Searching Forward. AI described the design format as "pioneering." The last two books of the trilogy have been written and are awaiting transformation into an audiobook format.
Print and electronic versions are available through a variety of distributors, such as Audible, Kobo, Google, Apple, Indigo, Libro.fm, Spotify, Audiobooks.com and others. The multi-award-winning audiobook version of Wetion (2nd edn) was recently added to the Library and Archives of Canada in Ottawa.
