Written by McCourt, "Far" exists outside the album's official track list while remaining deeply connected to the emotional and visual atmosphere shaping the broader project. The release continues McCourt's growing emphasis on pairing music with strong narrative imagery, expanding her work beyond traditional single releases into a larger creative landscape.

Directed by filmmaker Gigi Nettles, the video approaches the song through mood, character, and visual restraint rather than conventional performance imagery. Nettles' character-focused style brings a quiet intensity to the project, allowing the emotional themes of distance, memory, and disconnection to unfold naturally onscreen.

The upcoming release of "Far" follows McCourt's recent singles "Faceless Faces" and "Friend of a Friend," both part of the rollout for Coming Back to Me, recorded in Los Angeles and New York with producer Roger Greenawalt.
