East Ensley Library Mother's Day Bouquet Giveaway at East Ensley Library
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - TelAve -- BIRMINGHAM, AL — The girls of Girl Scouts Troop 27019 will bring beauty, kindness, and community spirit to Birmingham this spring by hosting a Community Bouquet Giveaway at the East Ensley Library on Wednesday, May 6 and Wednesday, May 13, from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
During this special two-day event, the Girl Scouts will design and assemble at least 150 handcrafted flower bouquets, which will be freely given to neighbors, supporters, library visitors, and friends as a gesture of appreciation and community connection.
The project is part of Troop 27019's commitment to leadership, service, and creative expression. The girls will learn floral design, teamwork, and the joy of giving while engaging with residents of the Ensley community.
Visitors are encouraged to stop by the library lawn or entrance area during the event to receive a bouquet and meet the young leaders who created them.
"This event is about girls learning that small acts of kindness can brighten an entire community," said Troop Leader Latoya Zimmermann. "By creating and giving away flowers, they experience service in a joyful and tangible way."
