~ In a recent announcement, Governor Greg Abbott has appointed Paloma Ahmadi to the Texas Southern University Board of Regents. Ahmadi, a resident of Shavano Park, will serve on the board for a term that will expire on February 1, 2029.

Ahmadi brings a wealth of experience to her new role as she currently serves as the general counsel for Athena and is an advisor to WorkWhile. She has also held senior legal positions at Brex Inc., Haynes and Boone LLP, and Major League Baseball. Her legal expertise extends to her time at Ahmad Zavitsanos Anaipakos and Kirkland Ellis LLP.

In addition to her impressive legal career, Ahmadi is an active member of the State Bar of Texas and the New York State Bar Association. She is also an inactive member of the Washington D.C. Bar. Her dedication to community service is evident through her involvement with organizations such as the Texas Workforce Investment Council and Dress for Success San Antonio.

Ahmadi's educational background is equally impressive, having received a Bachelor of Arts from Harvard College and a Juris Doctor from Harvard Law School.
