Halfacre to support education and empowerment in the community through two event sponsorships
TelAve News/10891502
SARASOTA, Fla. - TelAve -- Halfacre Construction Company (https://www.halfacreconstruction.com/), a Lakewood Ranch-based commercial construction company, is working to support education and empowerment in the community through two event sponsorships taking place in April, with donations totaling more than $5,000.
The first event sponsorship is the 17 (https://www.duckrace.com/manatee)th (https://www.duckrace.com/manatee) annual Lucky Duck Race for Pace (https://www.duckrace.com/manatee), a rubber duck derby with more than 30,000 ducks racing down Manatee River, on Saturday, April 11. Halfacre is a $2,500 Golden Duck sponsor of the event, with proceeds benefiting the Pace Center for Girls Manatee (https://www.pacecenter.org/), a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that provides a safe and supportive environment for girls to build healthy relationships, plan for their future and overcome histories of trauma.

The second event is the Education Foundation's Ringling Bridge Run on Sunday, April 26. Now in its third year, the annual run is a community tradition across the Ringling Bridge. Participants can choose from either the 5K, 10K or family fun run, and proceeds benefit the Education Foundation of Sarasota County (https://edfoundationsrq.org/), a nonprofit that supports public school teachers and students in Sarasota County with programs that prepare students to get ready and go further.
Halfacre will be serving as a $3,000 sponsor of the event, and currently has seven team members registered to participate in the run.
"Supporting organizations like the Education Foundation of Sarasota County and the Pace Center for Girls Manatee is incredibly important to our company as they are both organizations that are creating measurable and lasting impact," said Jack Cox, president of Halfacre Construction Company. "It's an honor to play even a small role in helping students build a foundation for success, as well as support girls in overcoming challenges to reach their full potential."
