Hell: Fact or Fiction (Part 2) - The Underground: The Geography and Logic of Divine Separation

MIAMI - TelAve -- The Holy Bible frequently describes hell as a physical place of descent located deep within the heart of the earth. It is referenced by various terms across testaments, using Sheol and Hades in the Old Testament, and Gehenna in the New Testament. Far from being a mere metaphor or state of mind, this literal underworld features doors, bars, or gates. Scriptural text reveals that the ocean and sea floors sit closest to the earth's crust and mantle, putting them in the closest physical proximity to hell. Job 38:10 confirms that God has set bars and doors upon these very ocean floors to mark structural barriers.

Interestingly, scientists surveying the earth have discovered twelve unexplained electromagnetic signals coming from deep within the globe. These waves are located strategically around the planet at equal distances from one another, precisely tracing twelve geometric anomalies—including the infamous Bermuda Triangle. It is highly symbolic that secular history dubbed this specific oceanic node "The Devil's Triangle," inadvertently mirroring the reality of an underworld entry point. Because two people die every second worldwide—either spiritually lost or spiritually saved—these planetary nodes may well align with the geographic points of entry into the deep.

When the physical body dies, the soul and spirit immediately exit, a process Solomon compared to liquid spilling from a broken pitcher in Ecclesiastes 12:6-7. The light of God immediately searches the spirit to try the reins and determine where it will safely abide until the Day of Judgment. Throughout scripture, God has always established strict divisions and physical separations during times of severe judgment. He completely severed the land of Goshen to protect Israel from the Egyptian plagues, sealed Noah's family inside the protective walls of the Ark before flooding the earth, and pulled Lot out of Sodom and Gomorrah before turning those cities to ashes.

Because God consistently separates the righteous from the wicked during historical judgments in life, it is completely logical that He maintains this strict distinction at death. Hell was originally prepared for the devil and his angels, but because of man's inclination to live wickedly, it has become a temporary, gloomy place of suffering and literal fire holding the unrighteous. God does not send anyone there; people send themselves when they reject His salvation.
