HONOLULU - TelAve -- Hilton Waikiki Beach Resort & Spa will celebrate Prince Kuhio Day on March 26, 2026, with a vibrant cultural celebration in recognition of Prince Kuhio Day. The annual event will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., inviting resort guests and the local community to experience traditional Hawaiian practices while learning about the legacy of one of Hawaii's most beloved leaders.
The celebration will begin with Ohe Kapala, the resort's most popular hands-on cultural activity, where attendees can explore the traditional art of bamboo stamping. Guests will also experience Hawaiian blessings, a hula performance, and a variety of Makahiki Games that highlight the spirit of friendly competition and community rooted in Hawaiian history.
Interactive Makahiki activities will include Konane and Ulumaika stations set up outside the resort. Attendees are encouraged to visit each station, where an attendant will initial their participation card. Completed cards may be dropped off at the sales desk for a chance to win a special prize.

Royal Adventures, the resort's cultural programming partner, will help set the tone for the celebration and share insight into Prince Kuhio's enduring influence.
"Prince Kuhio's legacy is deeply connected to the preservation and perpetuation of Hawaiian culture," said a representative from Royal Adventures. "Through these interactive experiences centered around his life and leadership, we hope guests gain a deeper appreciation for his contributions and for the traditions that continue to shape Hawaii today."
Henry Perez, general manager of Hilton Waikiki Beach Resort and Spa, underscored the importance of honoring Prince Kuhio's legacy.
"Prince Kuhio devoted his life to serving the people of Hawaii and strengthening our communities," Perez said. "Celebrating Prince Kuhio Day allows us to recognize his lasting impact and to share the cultural traditions that define our islands with both visitors and residents alike."
The Prince Kuhio Day celebration is complimentary for resort guests and open to visitors. Activities will take place throughout the property at Hilton Waikiki Beach Resort and Spa from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
