HOPE Sheds Light Marks Historic Milestone with First Property Acquisition & Vision for Future Growth

Purchase of Toms River property signals long-term investment in recovery, healing and expansion
TOMS RIVER, N.J. - TelAve -- HOPE Sheds Light (HSL) has reached a defining milestone in its history with the closing on its property located at 253 Chestnut Street in Toms River, marking the first property purchase in the organization's history. The acquisition represents far more than the purchase of a building; it is a significant investment in the future of recovery support services throughout Ocean County and beyond.
For more than a decade, HOPE Sheds Light has provided support, education and hope to individuals and families impacted by substance use disorder. The purchase establishes a permanent home for the organization and underscores its long-term commitment to serving the community while laying the groundwork for future growth and expansion.
The property, long known as the House of Hope campus, has become a place of healing and renewal. The site features an established butterfly garden, symbolizing transformation and resilience, and recently celebrated the planting of its first community garden, creating opportunities for connection, wellness and growth for those served by the organization.

"This moment represents so much more than the purchase of a building," said Pamela Capaci, CEO of HOPE Sheds Light. "It is a statement of permanence, stability and possibility. This campus is a place where individuals and families can begin to heal, and this investment ensures that HOPE Sheds Light will continue serving our community for generations to come. While today we celebrate this milestone, we are equally excited about what the future may hold."
Founded in 2013 by Ron Rosetto, Steve Willis and Arvo Prima, HOPE Sheds Light was born from personal loss and a shared commitment to ensuring that no family faces addiction alone. Since its inception, the organization has grown from a grassroots movement into one of New Jersey's leading recovery support organizations, providing peer recovery services, family support, education and community wellness programs.
The acquisition of the Chestnut Street property reflects that continued evolution and signals an ambitious vision for the future. Organization leaders note that additional growth and expansion opportunities may be possible in the years ahead, pending approvals and future planning.
"For many years, we dreamed about creating a permanent home for hope and recovery," said Ron Rosetto, co-founder of HOPE Sheds Light. "This closing is a testament to the dedication of our founders, board members, staff, supporters and community partners who believed in our mission. We know this is only the beginning. Our vision for HOPE Sheds Light has always extended beyond today, and this milestone positions us to expand our impact for future generations."
