~ Mesa, Arizona - KoMiCo, a global leader in precision cleaning and advanced coatings in the semiconductor industry, has officially opened its new state-of-the-art facility for advanced semiconductor equipment parts cleaning, coating, and repair. The 125,000-square-foot facility is expected to initially create 50 jobs, with over 200 total new jobs created over the next several years.
The ribbon cutting ceremony was attended by KoMiCo America and Global executives, as well as local government officials, economic development leaders, and community members. City of Mesa Mayor Mark Freeman and representatives from the Arizona Commerce Authority were also present to celebrate this milestone for the company.
This new facility represents an investment of over $60 million and marks KoMiCo's third location in the U.S. and 10th location globally. "KoMiCo's expansion into Arizona reflects both the growth of our business and our belief in the region's talent and technology ecosystem," said James Jin, CEO of KoMiCo America. "It also allows us to be closer to our customers, respond faster to their needs, and provide the level of support required in today's demanding semiconductor manufacturing environment. We're proud to create new jobs, invest in local capabilities, and build a foundation that supports U.S. semiconductor manufacturing and our employees for years to come."

KoMiCo is known for its dedication to innovation through partnerships with its customers. The Mesa facility is equipped with multiple cleanrooms, cutting-edge equipment, and diagnostic tools to provide services for current fabs as well as future fabs utilizing EUV technology.
With locations in the U.S., South Korea, Singapore, China, and Taiwan, KoMiCo is a strategic supplier to all of its customers including some of the largest fab clusters in the world. The company specializes in precision cleaning and coating services using stringent processes that meet or exceed customer specifications. Their clean-room environments are equipped with high-performance metrology equipment and particle measurement systems to ensure that the cleaned parts are free from any form of contamination. This expertise allows for fast turn-around times, reducing the downtime of fab tools.

Mayor Mark Freeman of Mesa also shared his enthusiasm for KoMiCo's presence in the city. "Mesa is rapidly becoming a premier destination for semiconductor investment thanks to our highly skilled workforce, robust infrastructure, and supportive business environment," he said. "We're honored to welcome KoMiCo to Mesa and to see southeast Mesa advance as a hub for manufacturing and innovation."
Vice Mayor Scott Somers echoed Mayor Freeman's sentiments about KoMiCo's impact on the city. "This investment brings specialized capabilities to clean, coat and repair critical equipment parts, and it will help support the high-tech growth we're seeing across the region," he said. "KoMiCo plans to grow from 50 jobs to more than 200 in the years ahead - exactly the kind of high-skill opportunity we want for Mesa residents."
KoMiCo is a subsidiary of MiCo group which includes MiCo Ceramics, MiCo Power, MiCo BioMed, and MiCo Ltd. In addition to providing precision cleaning and coating services, MiCo Ltd also supports the semiconductor industry with raw material development, including special powders used in the coating process. MiCo Ceramics specializes in the manufacture of ceramic heaters and electrostatic chucks (ESC's).
