Idaho Falls Fire Department Fill the Boot Campaign Returns May 22 and 23
TelAve News/10896280
~ The Idaho Falls Fire Department is gearing up for their annual MDA Fill the Boot campaign, set to take place on May 22 and 23 at the intersection of 17th Street and 25th Street in Idaho Falls. This event, which has been a tradition since 1954, aims to raise critical funds for the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) through donations collected one dollar at a time.
The partnership between MDA and the International Association of Fire Fighters (IAFF) began in 1954 when IAFF adopted MDA as its charity of choice. Since then, firefighters across the country have raised over $690 million for MDA, making a significant impact on medical research and care for those living with muscular dystrophy, ALS, and related neuromuscular diseases.
Idaho Falls firefighter Bradley Croft expressed his pride in supporting MDA's mission to improve the lives of families affected by these diseases. He stated, "Every dollar raised in our community helps fund life-changing research and care that makes a difference for families nationwide."
